The Global Midwest Alliance, the Economic Development Council (EDC), the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Midwest Research University Network (MRUN), and Bryan Cave law firm are pleased to invite you to join us at our program exhibiting Midwest excellence in Clean Technology innovation, products, and services – connecting innovators with financiers, business management expertise, and the international community.

Keynotes and Plenary Sessions will address opportunities along the innovation pipeline and relevant U.S. & International policy.  Participants will have networking opportunities throughout the day-and-a-half program, including a tour and reception at the University Technology Park at the Illinois Institute of Technology.  A tour of Argonne National Laboratory is also planned for Day 2.

Entrepreneurs and firms will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations through:    ·         Business-to-Business Development and Partnering Opportunities
            (small group meetings)
·         An Integrated Exhibition Space and Business Opportunity Session
··         An Innovation Competition

Exhibition Space will be provided throughout the conference area and integrated with the conference proceedings.  Midwest firms, entrepreneurs, researchers (universities, labs, etc.) and their international counterparts will have the opportunity to showcase their energy efficiency related research, ideas, prototypes, and market-ready technologies.  Programs will be set up throughout the conference to encourage business-to-business interaction between exhibitors and attendees.

Over the course of the conference, we will hold an “Innovation Competition” among attending companies and entrepreneurs from the Midwest and abroad.  Winners will be decided by an in-house set of judges and will be presented awards at the close of the conference.

International Focus – With strong participation from Chicago’s core-resource of International Trade Commissioners, Midwest Clean Tech 2009 will highlight business opportunities in the Midwest for international firms, as well as help Midwest firms to find business opportunities internationally.

Participants will also have an opportunity to attend a reception and tour the University Technology Park at the Illinois Institute of Technology  and  get an exclusive inside look into the Argonne National Laboratory.

Expected Attendees include: clean technology and energy efficiency firms, researchers & entrepreneurs, clean tech focused venture capitalists & financiers, and economic development & policy officials.
